Help needed in sewing machinist exposure case
We have recently been instructed to deal with a pleural thickening claim for a client who was diagnosed with the condition in 2018.
Initially, as is quite common, our client could not remember how she suffered her exposure to asbestos dust but upon questioning, she remembered suffering exposure to asbestos dust when sewing old asbestos sacks together, when working for Graham (Jute) Limited, Luton. She worked at their factory on a full-time basis as a sewing machinist between approximately 1959 and 1965/66.
We are looking to trace any other workers who can remember the working conditions at the factory to assist in claiming pleural thickening compensation on our client’s behalf.
Did you work for these construction companies?
We are also currently dealing with a mesothelioma claim for a client who sadly lost her father to the incurable asbestos-related cancer.
Evidence we have obtained in support of the claim for mesothelioma compensation confirms that the deceased was regularly exposed to asbestos when working for Compton & Flegg Limited between 1962/63 and 1963/64, as well as when working for Holland & Hannen & Cubitts (Southern) Limited between 1965/66 and 1966/67. He worked for the companies as an apprentice carpenter and then in a fully qualified capacity in this trade. He suffered exposure after cutting through asbestos sheets with a circular saw.
If you have any information which could assist with this claim, we would be most grateful to hear from you.
Witnesses sought in mesothelioma claim
We have been instructed to deal with a claim for mesothelioma compensation for a client who tragically lost his father to this asbestos-related cancer last year.
We have been able to trace insurance for the company which exposed him to asbestos. He worked at a number of old mills as a maintenance fitter, including the Orama Mill, Whitworth, Rochdale. The mills formed part of the Moben Kitchens Group of companies including Di Lusso Kitchens Limited and Orama Manufacturing Limited.
We are looking to speak to anyone who worked at the mills between October of 1978 and 1989 approximately.
If anyone is concerned that they have suffered exposure to asbestos with these companies and have been diagnosed with an asbestos-related disease, we can confirm that we have traced insurance for the companies, allowing asbestos claims to succeed.
If you are able to provide information to assist in the above claims or believe you have a valid asbestos claim for a diagnosed asbestos-related disease, please contact us today on our freephone number 0800 038 6767. Alternatively, head over to the ‘Contact Us’ page, complete the form and we will be in touch.
