Helena is a specialist asbestos disease solicitor and associate director with over 16 years experience handling compensation claims. She has specialised in asbestos disease casework since 2007.

Helena has settled hundreds of claims for asbestos disease sufferers and their families and regularly meets with clients face-to-face to obtain as much information as possible in support of the cases.

As well as working as a specialist asbestos solicitor and associate director here, Helena also raises the profile of the dangers of asbestos by being involved in campaigns. As part of this, Helena and the team have forged strong links with Macmillan Cancer Support, raising over £35,000 for the charity to date.

Away from work, Helena enjoys reading and military fitness sessions.

Eve Halliday

SOLICITOR

Eve is a solicitor within the Industrial Disease department and has worked as a part of the team since May 2023.

Eve assists clients with a range of compensatable asbestos-related conditions, including asbestosis and pleural thickening. With a strong commitment to client care, Eve ensures that every client and their family are fully supported throughout the claims process, from the initial instruction through to securing compensation. She understands the urgency and sensitivity that often comes with asbestos disease cases and focuses on achieving the best possible outcome in the shortest timeframe.

In addition to her casework, Eve enjoys running and often does sponsored runs to support various charities including Macmillan Cancer Support.

Hannah Higson

SOLICITOR

Hannah is a solicitor within the Industrial Disease department, having completed 6 months training as part of her training contact and qualifying in October 2025.

Hannah supports clients with a wide range of compensatable asbestos-related conditions, including mesothelioma, asbestosis, pleural thickening, and lung cancer. She is dedicated to supporting her clients, and their families, who have suffered as a result of their employers’ negligence, ensuring they receive the compensation they rightfully deserve.

With a deep commitment to client care, Hannah takes a compassionate and proactive approach to every case. She guides clients and their families through each stage of the claims process with empathy, clarity, and determination, always striving to secure the best possible outcome in the most efficient timeframe. Her understanding of the medical, emotional, and financial challenges faced by those affected by asbestos exposure underpins her unwavering focus on achieving fair and meaningful results.

Away from the office, Hannah enjoys exploring new destinations, spending time outdoors with her dog, Mabel, and following her favourite football team, Everton.

Felicity Parry

PARALEGAL

Felicity is a Paralegal on the Industrial Disease team, having joined in November 2024.

She focuses on handling the vetting process for potential claims, carefully assessing their viability. She is responsible for gathering the initial information needed to investigate claims, supporting clients through the early stages of the process, reviewing medical evidence, and tracing companies or insurers once defendants are identified.

Felicity finds the most rewarding part of her role is building meaningful connections with clients. She takes pride in listening to their stories, understanding their unique circumstances, and offering compassionate support during what is often a challenging time.

In her spare time Felicity enjoys watching and participating in theatre productions.

Bronwen Hutchinson

PARALEGAL

Bronwen joined the team as a Paralegal, bringing with her extensive experience from Oliver & Co, where she has worked in the conveyancing department since 2002. Prior to that, she practised as a property solicitor in South Africa.

In her current role Bronwen is responsible for assessing potential claims often speaking directly with clients to gather detailed information about their asbestos exposure. She reviews medical records, conducts in-depth research into potential defendants and their insurers, and supports the progression of cases.

Bronwen draws on her legal expertise and life experience to provide understanding and informed support to clients. She is motivated by new challenges and is focused on securing justice and a sense of closure for individuals whose health has been adversely affected through no fault of their own.

In her spare time Bronwen enjoys discovering new places across the UK.

Lucy Metcalfe

LEGAL ASSISTANT

Lucy has been a dedicated member of our team since 2017, bringing warmth and professionalism to her role as a legal assistant. 

She supports our solicitors by coordinating phone calls, preparing letters and emails, and is readily available to speak directly with clients and their families when needed.

Lucy is very empathetic, a trait that helps her to form positive relationships with people going through a difficult time.

She also helps our clients to complete applications for government benefits including Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB), Attendance Allowance (AA) and payments under the Pneumoconiosis etc (Workers’ Compensation) Act 1979 (PWCA).

Lucy actively contributes to our charity initiatives, helping to run our events in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.

Outside the office, Lucy enjoys playing roller derby.
