Help needed for restrictive pleural plaques claim
We are pursuing a claim for asbestos compensation for a client who suffers with pleural plaques with thickening, which causes him a restrictive defect on his lung function caused by asbestos exposure.
In order to successfully pursue this asbestos claim we need to show that our client was exposed to harmful amounts of asbestos.
Our client was exposed to asbestos when he worked for F. H. Wheeler & Co Limited between approximately 1960 and 1968. He was an electrician and was based at the Blyth Power Station. His duties regularly required him to work close to laggers who mixed and applied asbestos lagging to pipework all over the plant. Our client recalls being present when the laggers poured asbestos powder into drums and mixed it with water to create a paste, this made for a very dusty work environment.
Our client could not help but inhale the asbestos dust and fibres in the air and it is due to this that he is now suffering with irreversible breathing problems caused by his asbestos related condition.
We are seeking witnesses who can assist in this asbestos compensation claim by providing evidence of asbestos exposure at the Blyth Power Station in the 1960s.
