Help needed for pleural thickening claim

We have been instructed to pursue a pleural thickening compensation claim. Our client unfortunately suffers with a restrictive defect on his lung function due to his asbestos related disease.

He was exposed to asbestos when working for a company called L N Whiteley & Sons Ltd, based in the Hyde area of Cheshire. Our client worked for this company between approximately 1956 and 1958, working in a team that moved around several different factories. He regularly had to visit boiler houses where asbestos lagging had to be stripped from the boilers and pipework.

Our client and his colleagues used various tools and their bare hands to remove the asbestos lagging. He recalls that it was a very dusty job and asbestos dust and fibres hung in the air as he went about his work.

Our client remembers some large jobs he worked on whilst employed by this company including contracts at The Rubber Regenerating Company Ltd in Trafford Park, Manchester and the Irlam Soap Works in Manchester.

In order for us to bring our client’s asbestos claim to a successful conclusion, we must show that he was exposed to harmful amounts of asbestos. We are looking for witnesses who may have worked for L N Whiteley & Sons, or at The Rubber Regenerating Company or Irlam Soap Works who could provide evidence to show that asbestos was present.

If you can assist in providing evidence for this asbestos claim, please contact us today on our Freephone number 0800 038 6767. Alternatively, head over to the ‘Contact Us’ page, complete the form and we will be in touch.
