Help needed for asbestosis claim
We are instructed by a client who suffers with asbestosis. In order to pursue a successful claim for asbestosis compensation, we must show that our client has been exposed to excessive amounts of asbestos.
Between approximately 1961 and 1968 our client worked for a company called Fibrecrete Limited at the Chalford Works. This was later taken over by Cape. The company specialised in manufacturing asbestos moulds and asbestos products including asbestos sheeting, guttering and corrugated roofing panels.
Our client recalls that raw asbestos was delivered to the factory in hessian sacks before being transported to where it was needed in the factory. Asbestos waste from the factory was disposed of in a crusher which created a lot of asbestos dust and debris. Our client worked all over the factory and no matter where he worked he was exposed to asbestos dust and fibres.
We are attempting to find witnesses who worked to Fibrecrete Limited in the 1960s and can provide further evidence of asbestos exposure to support our client’s asbestosis claim.
