We have settled a particularly tragic mesothelioma claim following exposure to asbestos as a child.
We were instructed by the mother of eight children after she was diagnosed with the asbestos related cancer, mesothelioma.
Mrs B lived near to the Cape Asbestos factory in Dagenham, this was also where her grandfather worked. She recalled playing in the back yard with her brothers where there was a great deal of dust in the yard and they would dig in the dust and make mud pies with it. This was asbestos dust from the nearby Cape Asbestos factory.
We were able to obtain witness statements from Mrs B and her family and were able to show that Cape Asbestos were responsible for her suffering with mesothelioma.
Sadly, Mrs B passed away before her claim was settled, however we continued the claim on behalf of her Estate and were able to secure mesothelioma compensation to ensure her children were looked after financially.
