Mr R worked for Kitson’s Asbestos in Norwich between approximately 1948 and 1951 and then the Central Electricity Board based at the Norwich power station between approximately 1963 and 1968.
His work involved in coming into regular contact with asbestos lagging. It was a dusty environment to work in and he regularly breathed in asbestos fibres. He began to suffer with breathing problems many years later and having visited his doctor he was later diagnosed with asbestosis.
We were successful in settling the claim despite the Defendants arguing against a diagnosis of asbestosis by obtaining their own medical evidence in support of a different diagnosis.
